Not many foreign holiday makers to Lesvos (Lesbos) know, that just another 2 km away from Skala Polichnitos, down the coast of the Gulf of Kalloni, Nyfida is located with its wonderful sandy beach and little harbour for the fishing boats of the locals. 

In the summer time it is full of holiday makers who come to relax and enjoy the sun, sand, sea and the delights of the local cuisine, which always features the local catch of the day.

It is the perfect place for spending long summer hot days, pottering about in the fertile gardens and orchards or down at the beach. The small marshy area behind the Nyfida Beach Hotel and the Headland are locations where one can birdwatch successfully.
